Bu sarsıcı belgesel, yönetmen Farsi ile Gazze’de yaşayan 24 yaşındaki foto muhabir Fatma Hassuna arasındaki bir yıllık video günlüklerinden oluşuyor. Fatma, “yüreğini eline al ve yürü” diyerek bombardıman altındaki yaşamını kaydederken, Farsi’nin lo-fi çekimleri bu tanıklığı yalın bir direniş ve sanat eserine dönüştürüyor. Filmin Cannes’a seçildiği açıklandıktan hemen bir gün sonra Fatma ve ailesi bir İsrail hava saldırısında yaşamını yitirdi. Bu trajik kayıp, filmi hem Fatma’nın anısına adanmış bir saygı duruşu hem de insanlığa dair derin ve kalıcı bir tanıklık hâline getiriyor.

This harrowing documentary is composed of a year’s worth of video diaries by director Farsi and 24-year-old photojournalist Fatma Hassuna, who lives in Gaza. Recording her life under bombardment with the motto “put your soul on your hand and walk,” Fatma’s testimony is transformed into a raw act of resistance and a work of art through Farsi’s lo-fi cinematography. Just one day after the film’s selection for Cannes was announced, Fatma and her family were killed in an Israeli airstrike. This tragic loss makes the film both a tribute to Fatma’s memory and a profound, enduring testament to humanity.

Sepideh Farsi (1965, İran) İlk uzun filmi “Journey of Maryam” (2003) ile dikkat çekti. “Red Rose” (2014) ve Toronto’da resmi seçkiye seçilen “The Siren” (2023) ile başarısını sürdürdü. Son filmi “Yüreğini Eline Al ve Yürü” (2025), Cannes ACID’de prömiyer yaptı.

Sepideh Farsi (1965, Iran) She first came to prominence with her debut feature, Journey of Maryam (2003). She continued her success with films like Red Rose (2014) and The Siren (2023), which was an official selection at Toronto. Her latest film, Take Your Heart and Walk (2025), premiered in the Cannes ACID section.
