As last year, we prepared a special programme for children in the festival, which will be held during 28th April-8th May with the main sponsorship of Halkbank, support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism. For the little viewers of the festival, ”Kid's Festival: No Room for Adults!” titled section was organized.

SPECIAL SELECTION FROM CHINA

Films within this selection were chosen with cooperation and support of China International Children Films Festival. One animation and two fiction films can be watched by children aged 7-12.

I Swan is one of the children films, which talks about Holly's story. Holly starts to exceed the trauma of her mother's death with friendship with swan that she helped recover. When the swan, her best friend gets kidnapped Holly goes on a compelling quest with her father.

Another film; My Avatar Horse. Husile, under the influence of three wise men on the road after a legend, believes his white horse is the holy horse that is being talked about in the fable. The story is about Husile who is worried that his father may sell his horse (“Chagan”), and his struggle for his horses rescue.

Animation film Happy Little Submarine 3, tells the colorful adventures of two submarines named Olly and Beth. They go on a tresure hunt together and their group grows with others who join them, helping them learn the real meaning of friendship and courage.
All these films,which were chosen for children, presentation will be in “Kızılay Büyülü Fener Cinema”.

REFUGEE CHILDREN WERE NOT FORGETTEN

Festival did not forget the refugee children who live in Ankara either. With the cooperation of Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants, a workshop will be realized which will contribute to imagination and creativity of refugee children. Within the ‘Stop Motion Studio” which will be organized on animation film techniques, Scluptor Aykut Öz will assist children to make their own cartoon films with basic techniques.
