Münih’in merkezindeki Metzstrasse 11 nolu binadaki kiracılar üzerine film: Çoğu Almanya’da işçi olarak çalışan yabancılar (Yugoslavlar, İtalyanlar, Türkler, Yünanlılar…). Hepsi kendi ana dilinde, kim olduğunu, yaşadığı sorunları ve gelecekle ilgili umutlarını ve planlarını anlatıyor. Bu yapısalcı kurguda, neleri anlattıkları ve ne kadar anlattıkları acaba onların elinde mi?

The tenants of an old building (Metzstrasse no. 11) in the centre of Munich are featured in this film: Most of them are foreigners who work in Germany as “guest workers” (Yugoslavs, Italians, Turks, Greeks, etc.). In their mother tongue, each of them tells who he or she is, and briefly talks about their major worries, new hopes and plans for the future. Playing themselves in a rigorous structuralist setting, it is they themselves who determine what and how much of themselves they reveal.
